April 30th Drupal Lab?

At the last meet up, there was mention of a Drupal lab on April 30th at Affinity Labs in Adams Morgan. I rearranged my schedule just so I could attend.

Is this still happening?

If so, can someone who knows the arrangement post an event with the info sooner than later?

I would hate for folks to miss out due to a late posting.

Just my two cents,
Katrina

Potential Orange County Meeting locations

This isn't an actually an event, but I've done some research into meeting in Orange County briefly. Sadly (gladly?) I don't live there anymore so I can't help you organize this, but I thought I would share the possible meeting places I found. There's always the option for something such as Panera bread as a restaurant that has decent food, and wifi, with several location throughout Orange County.

I took some meeting notes....

FWIW here are some notes. If people have their own, add them to comments and we can roll it back into an archive of sorts - I'm sure I missed some things:

Beginning of the meeting Noel talked about his experiences at DrupalCon.

  • Specifically talked about the Drupal Foundation being setup to protect copyright and legitimize Drupal as a project in the Open-source community.
  • See Frontpage post about foundation.
  • Dan Robinson's tlak about module developmnet. His methodology about presenting a module is good for promting community support.
  • Build out module for use cases as opposed to technical specifications.

Washington DC September Drupal Meet-Up: Drupal 5.0 Talk

    Start:
    2006-09-14 07:00 Etc/GMT-6

Only local images are allowed. We are having our next Washington, DC, Meet-up on Wednesday, September 13th at 7 pm. This time it will be even easier for folks coming from work downtown to stop by - we are meeting at the Science Club at 1136 19th Street, NW. We have the entire second floor reserved so it will be a whole lot easier to do formal presentations.

That's right. We are getting organized and have decided to focus this meeting on the expected changes to Drupal in the rollout of 5.0 coming this Fall. Ted Serbinski from Lullabot will be leading the talk. We'll even have a projector :)

    Inaugural VIDUG Meet-up

Let's get together. This is a new group, and we don't know who we are, so let's get together and talk about Drupal. I suggest we hold our first meeting in Victoria, since that provides the best opportunity for the fewest people to travel to the meeting. I hope future meetings can be held in other strategic and beautiful locations on Vancouver Island, with an annual meeting at Tofino.

The purpose of the meeting will be to meet and greet, network, learn, share ideas and approaches, etc.

    Special guest(s) to be announced.

So let's get together on June 8th at 7:00pm in Victoria at a location TBD.
