I had a requirement to create a custom content type in D7 where the user can choose the title from a predefined select list.
I did create the content type but to my surprise the title field is not editable and no widget can be selected. However, I attempted to modify the title field by creating a module. I was successful to convert the title field to a select list with predefined options/values and it works fine when adding a new node. But when I try to edit an existing node, the previously selected title does not load but rather the default/empty option.

Is a problem which occurs on the website of a charity organization i've been working on. http://2011.gateway.org.hk.

I havent been able to find out the real source of the problem, but my guess is, that it is linked with views and panels. Also it is related to the different browsers Firefox, Safari and IE.

1.) The problem occurs in Safari (for Mac & Windows) and in IE (for Windows). Firefox doesnt have this problem.

I was wondering if there was a known way to add a contact info collection form within the flow of the quiz or on the result page of a quiz? This is one of the only features missing in order to use the Quiz module as a contest/promotion engine on my site.

I'm used to creating custom node types with cck to achieve create contact info forms, but I'd like to blend that with the functionality of the Quiz module.

We have the following big problem with our aegir installation. Our first installation was 0.2 or something, we were very happy when everything worked right but then we had some troubles with migrating. aegir did not recognize packages are correctly installed or something (we dont know) so we cant migrate from any drupal version to another...

I have the following problem with rules: i need to send an email to a role when new content is created so they can verify it and enable it...
i first wanted to solve this with triggers but there is no option like sending to a specific role and also no option to send only if it is a specific content type. So rules solved all my problem but i have no wildcards in the mail!

A client has asked me to build them a sort of 'inventory system', and I would like to build it using Drupal rather than writing a custom solution for it. However, there are a few things I would like to get some dojo feedback on.

These are all tasks I could do if writing the site from scratch. However, I want to do it in 'the Drupal Way' and take advantage of as much of the existing Drupal infrastructure as possible, so I would appreciate any advice on ways to best do this in Drupal.
