CIMBA Alumni - A Worldwide Organization

CIMBA is a university based in Asolo, Italy that grants MBA's to students from all over the world. Due to the distance between the different student groups, planning, coordinating, and building the alumni network has proved challenging. Our alumni association membership is in the thousands, however the membership groups are spread out between the multitude of social media networks out there, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and (hold your breath) Twitter.

Mapping

Hello everyone,

I haven't done much in these groups as of yet, just been hangin' out and watching how things get done, and learning. And man there's a lot of learning a person can do just by watching the threads.

I'm wondering what you guys find the best solution to be for maps in d6. Right now I'm using Gmap, and I'm sure I haven't used it to it's full potential yet, but I'd like to be able to put up the little clouds w/ notations, like you have when you use google maps online.

Thanks for any input,
Scott McKinnis

Walking Through A New Church Install

I am making my first effort to use Drupal and am building a new church Website.

I am used to simple hardcoding in HTML and have avoided automated Website
apps because I disliked the cluttered code they produced.

The goal here is to build a site that multiple leaders in the church may help to
keep updated and which will facilitate staff, leader, and small group communications.

The prior contracted person failed to produce something usable and the site is now
many months late on delivery - I need to get some pictures and a calendar and
contact info up quickly.
