Google Maps

Tänkte att jag skulle blåsa lite liv i en gammal sajt och använda Drupal för att förbättra den på alla sätt och vis.

Jag tänker mig en enda stor karta med noder som placeras ut över vårt avlånga land på ett snyggt sätt, ungefär som http://www.drupical.com/

Är det någon som har någon erfarenhet av sådana här lösningar, som kan komma med lite tips på vad jag ska tänka på när jag sätter igång med projektet?

Can anyone suggest any ideas or options for speed performance enhancement on some new developments we uploaded this week on iHubbub.

The site has been been rebuild from scratch on a new updated commons platform with no panels [which slowed the old site down] and only necessary modules, but now .... with the new maps and pins feature it is far too slow [!] with the maps script and pin data but as this is now a vital hub of the site, we need to get this fixed asap.

I'm using OpenLayers along with Address Field, Geofield, and Geocoder and have created several maps for a current project. I'm looking for advice on two pieces I haven't figured out yet.

Is it possible to highlight a specific location on a map that shows several locations? For example, I have six nodes feeding their locations to one map. Each node has a different location and each node displays the map with all six locations. I'd like to have the map on each node highlight that node's location with a different color marker from the other node locations. Is this possible? If so, how?

Estoy tratando de crear un directorio de negocios en Chapala, Jalisco. Con el location module, cada lisado para una empressa captura informacion de ubicacion. Pero no puedo ponerlos por una mapa porque Google Maps no ofrezcan servicio para map linking en Mexico. O por lo menos dice el modulo an /admin/config/content/location/maplinking

Nadie sabe un servicio mapera que sirve con el location module en Mexico?

I am trying to port my incomplete GPS application to Drupal. I am using Zend Framework and Google Maps V3 API for development. Could anyone recommend contributed modules available in drupal that I can use for Location and Mapping during my development.

Looking for suggestions to integrate an event registration and Google maps.

Basically during user registration for the site, asking the potential member for their zip code and/or city name could be used in their profile and displayed on a Google map of the united states. Ideally I would like to display a pop up flag upon a click of the map flag with the total number of users from that city name with a link to display the user list of those members in that area.

I'm trying to setup a functionality where I allow users to post a trip that they will be taking. So I have created a node type for a "trip" and created a location field for the start and another for the destination. Geocoding of these two location fields are working just fine.
