Has anybody in this group had experience with deploying a campus digital wayfinding solution?

A little background on this question: we're in the middle of a campuswide wayfinding project—renaming roads, redesigning physical signage, etc.—and there's great interest in the project team around integrating this with our digital signage, mobile app, and website. We're already using Drupal as our standard Web platform, so I'm curious to know if a) it's feasible to build a wayfinding solution within Drupal and b) are there existing wayfinding systems that interoperate nicely with Drupal.

Obviamente es una vista, pero los modulo para sacar los totales de las consultas, así como para marcar el mapa me intriga, no es algo que he visto con leaflet, quizás una implementación de openlayer personalizada?? pero no veo los links hacia ese modulo.

I'm trying to compile a list of websites or webapps that use advanced and/or cutting edge map-based systems to help users search/find something.

What I'm interested in is the latest trends and/or design conventions; the ways and levels (the more the better) to which maps & interactivity are integrated in the UI/UX. What users are searching for doesn't really matter. Here are a few examples. Hotpads & Walkscore best exemplify what I'm talking about.

Mi idea para cuando os apetezca es contar de forma lo más concisa posible cómo añadir un campo geográfico a un tipo de contenido para luego explotarlo en vistas con mapas. Intentaría introducir el mínimo de conceptos necesarios para tener los casos de uso más sencillos usando el módulo Geofield para almacenar los datos y OpenLayers o tal vez también Leaflet para la presentación de mapas.

Can anyone suggest any ideas or options for speed performance enhancement on some new developments we uploaded this week on iHubbub.

The site has been been rebuild from scratch on a new updated commons platform with no panels [which slowed the old site down] and only necessary modules, but now .... with the new maps and pins feature it is far too slow [!] with the maps script and pin data but as this is now a vital hub of the site, we need to get this fixed asap.

Display businesses for a certain city by using geo data, a proximity slider from a pre-defined center point (supplied by field in the entity, url or defined in the view) and predefined start radius (also defined in the view or by url) - closest distance to center point are displayed first - with distance to center point calculated.

So, you probably have heard that Development Seed isn't doing Drupal for products or projects anymore - it's been quite a few months since I've actually started up Drupal.

I'm looking to see if there is anyone out there who has developed an interactive map or a virtual tour application (or a combination of both), using Drupal or other technologies. If in the greater Toronto Area, please drop me a line to discuss.

Has anyone managed to display the output of a solr search on a map? Using either gmap, openlayers, etc.

Also has anyone got spatial search / local search working with UK postcodes?

Been trying for a week now with no success - can get core drupal search + facets working with proximity and map output but solr is so much better!

We're working very hard on the 2.x revision of the OpenLayers module, and it's becoming more useful by the day. Here's the current backlog for a 2.x release that I'm working on currently:
