Planning for this years Twin Cities Drupal Camp is well underway.
The day to day Drupal Camp planning is happening using BaseCamp as a project management tool. We will try to report back in this space with regular updates on how things are going. If anyone wishes to participate more actively, we would be happy to invite you to our Basecamp. Please, contact Keri Poeppe, myself, or anyone on the committee.
If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to post them here, contact a committee chair, or to contact someone on the committee.

Read moreDrupal v. Wordpress at CoCo Mpls postponed!
This morning I received an email from Curt Prins who, with his brother, was set to host the big Drupal v. Wordpress Battle Royale at CoCo Minneapolis later this month. Well, they've called it off.
They say this is due to being too busy. For those of us who enjoyed last month's Drupal meetup where we explored the same topic, we could surmise the postponement is due more to Wordpress needing to pull back to prepare more intensively given the threatening full-court press by the Drupal community which is poised to unleash Drupal 8 and Backdrop on the CMS world in the next year.
Until we're called to battle (royale) sometime in the future, let's keep doing what we do best -- being the greatest, most supportive and open-minded open source software community around.
Speaking of, look for the announcement of our October 23rd meetup soon. Want a sneak preview of this month's topic? Well, it's not yet done enough to stick a fork in it so you'll just have to wait.

Accessibility recap
Behavioral tests
I'm trying to get open links to the raw footage. I contacted dcmistry about this.
Our takeaways are that:
- Drupal is not as accessible as we even dared to hope.
- Content creation is painful and at points impossible for a non-sighted user.
- The overlay is unusable for a non-sighted person. It's really painful to watch someone get lost in it.
Accessibility in 8 session
Take home points.

We're looking for session proposals for TC Drupal Camp 2013.
http://2013.tcdrupal.org/schedule/proposed-sessions
Last year we got some feedback that there was a shortage of "beginner" sessions. I did some checking around for beginner topics listed at other Drupal Camps and created this list of session ideas.....
Sharing a list of possible topics. Please, feel free to steal these ideas and submit your own session.
If there are any of these sessions that you'd like to see at Drupal Camp, post a note here to inspire someone to propose it?

I see that there are 450 people listed as "members" of this online group. Last I checked the turn-out at local meet-ups and happy hours is a bit smaller. :-)
As an experiment, I'm starting this discussion as an opportunity for all local Drupal folks (including those who can't make the meetings) to:
1) Introduce themselves
2) Share something about their involvement in Drupal
3) ALSO - indicate what they are looking for in the Drupal community at this time (a little matchmaking).
examples:
* Looking for projects
* Looking for internship
* Looking for job
Reminder: Free Introduction to Drupal Workshop this Friday
Drupal is turning 10 this year! Drupal 7, a major new version, was released last week! Drupalcon Chicago is two months away! If ever there were a right time to find out more about Drupal, now would be that time. Conveniently, we are offering our free Introduction to Drupal workshop this Friday from 1-3PM. This workshop will provide you all the context you need to get the most out of all of the other free Drupal community events happening here locally in prep for Drupalcon Chicago and beyond. Check out http://www.advantagelabs.com/introduction-drupal-experience for all the details and to sign up.
