Drupal Coworking Friday: 27th April, Edinburgh
Earlier notice this month that Squareye and Denholm are happy to open their doors again for anyone that wants to drop in. Drupal Coworking Friday is a worldwide event spurred in part by the DrupalEasy Podcast #65.
Location
Again massive thanks goes to Denholm Associates and Squareye, who have very kindly let us use their premises for this event.

We seem to have missed March Drupal drinks what with one thing and another. But our Edinburgh Drupal drinks will be on Wednesday 11 April at 18:00.
Since we all seemed to enjoy the Villager on George IV Bridge (favourable comments were heard about the beer, the food, and the conveniently central location), let's meet there again.
Please sign up or post if you intend to come along, so I know how many to book for.
Hope to see you there!

We took January off as we figured in the first week everyone would be recovering from Hogmanay, so the first Edinburgh Drupal Drinks of 2012 will be on Wednesday 8 February at 18:00.
UPDATE: Venue is the Villager on George IV Bridge. Please sign up now if you intend to come along so I know if I need to amend the booking.
Also, feel free to suggest topics for discussion. One to get us all started: does anyone want to present a session at our Drupal Camp that's coming up in May?

As the amount of interest increased, I realised I would need to get an actual venue, which has been provided with massive thanks to Denholm Associates and Squareye, who have very kindly let us use their premises for the event.

Build a Module.com mentored training in Edinburgh
I'd like to run a one-day, mentored, video based training session, possibly as a part of next years Drupalcamp.
I think we'd need 5 or more mentors, ideally with diverse skills so we can help with a variety of questions. If you're willing to volunteer as a mentor, please leave a comment here.

December's Drupal Drinks will be at the Meadow Bar, 42-44 Buccleuch Street, Edinburgh, EH8 9LP, at 18:30 on Thursday 1 December.
Please sign up if you intend on coming, so I can adjust our booking numbers accordingly.
I'd be more than happy to talk about setting up Drupal Commerce, Commerce migration, and as ever, the joys of git branching and making Views to crazy things with SQL. Over to you for further suggestions!
Also, if you have suggestions for future venues, add them to the thread at http://groups.drupal.org/node/181309.

Thanks to everyone who came along last Thursday to what was the best attended Drupal Drinks in a long time. I counted 11 of us at one point!
Next Edinburgh Drupal Drinks will be December 1st. I'll announce the venue soon.
We're trying out different places to meet each month for the foreseeable future, or until we find somewhere we really like to call our regular spot. Please share your thoughts on the Greenmantle in Newington.
Here's my take on it:
- beer: good.
- food: my cod and chips was passable. They do buffalo burgers too but I didn't see what those were like.
Drupal Drinks Edinburgh: November
Our regular Edinburgh Drupal Drinks is going to go on a bit of an adventure as we sample different venues for the next few months. (Read the venue suggestions thread at http://groups.drupal.org/node/181309.)
For November, I'm suggesting we meet at the Greenmantle (133 Nicolson Street Newington Edinburgh EH8 9ER) on Thursday 3rd.
Suggestions of discussion topics welcome.

Just got back from Drupal drinks, where we've discussed changing the venue.
Holyrood 9A do good burgers and beers, but it's always a bit too noisy to have a conversation and certainly to do any kind of tech presentations.
The suggestions we've come up with:
- White Horse, Royal Mile
- Counting House, Newington
- Old Bell, Newington
- Greenmantle, Newington
There's a bit of a southside bias there, because all of us there tonight live or work there! ;)
