Aaron McHale, Website Technical Coordinator at the University of Edinburgh, Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability, will demonstrate how he and his colleagues are using Drupal 8 and Layout Builder to build an interactive and engaging online training course at the University focused on how to be more sustainable.

In this talk we will see how Layout Builder will revolutionise the way we build websites and content in Drupal, by achieving things that were never before possible with Drupal Core alone.

• Founding Fathers - Bryan Gullan is a web consultant and Director of Makkaru which he founded in 2014. Bryan will talk about his experience of starting his own company and what he has learnt over the last 3 years. He will also take questions, AMA-style, so you can ask him anything!

The Drupal Community Working Group (CWG) is a volunteer group responsible for promoting and upholding the Drupal Code of Conduct and maintaining a friendly and welcoming community for the Drupal project. The group works to help defuse tense situations, mediate and/or arbitrate intractable disputes, and develop tools and resources to promote community health. It also recognizes community leadership through the annual Aaron Winborn Award.

Speakers Tim Gray and Bruce Darby from the University of Edinburgh will take a new look at continuous improvements and how you could be applying this to your community building as well as your products. So not just building services and functionality but organising events and engaging with the people that use your software and websites as well. When we implemented our new CMS using Drupal we could see the power of community development.
