An Update about the status of SFDUG and our new space.

I have secured new space for the group at the UCSF Mission Bay campus. This is the campus which is behind ATT Park on Third street.

The UCSF Mission Bay/Gene Friend Way Muni Light Rail Station directly across the street from the event space which is called Rock Hall.

We will have the event at 6pm to 8pm on Monday the 9th.

February is a great month and as usual we have awesome content. This month we have Acquia coming down and Sponsoring SFDUG to talk about some exciting new concepts in called web engagement management. This is some hot new cutting edge stuff that is well worth a listen for anyone who wants to present a total solution to larger customers.

Users Helping Users is the best way to get your tough Drupal questions answered or get started down the right track with Drupal.

There are no presentations at this event, your questions dictate the direction the discussion goes.

Chapter Three is running a Drupal Fundamentals class in San Francisco.

This introductory one-day workshop touches on nearly every aspect of the core Drupal framework and covers many must-have modules. 2012 the year of the Dragon is going to be a GREAT year for Drupal!!

We are starting off the year with a topic which we have never had at a SFDUG meetup and that is Mapping and Drupal, a topic which we have all come across before and wondered how to do right.

There is a new O'Reilly book out on the topic and we are lucky some of the Authors of the book are coming to present to us.

Moved this up by a week to avoid conflicting with the holiday.

Come to the SFDUG Headquaters at 160 Folsom in San Francisco for a roundtable discussion where you can get your questions answered or help people newer to Drupal scale the learning curve.

There is no formal agenda at these events so bring anything Drupal related you have been itching to talk about.

Last meetup for 2011 and I think we have some great content setup for this event.
Since we have not had a meetup for the last two months we will have 2 presentations this month.

General Talk:
Occupy Drupal - Drupal for the 99%

Drupal has a long history as a grassroots civic action content management system, with much of its early development funded by non-profits and grassroots developers. With the big end of town now heavy users, we ask the question: How Do We Occupy Drupal, For the 99%.

Moved this one a week later so that it doesn't conflict with the Thanksgiving holiday. Come by the SFDUG headquarters at 160 Folsom street in downtown SF for our monthly get together where we try help people with their Drupal problems and chat about whats happening with Drupal.

We don't have a presentation at these events, instead we bring together a group of Drupal experts and Drupal newcomers to help answer each others questions.

This happens monthly on the 4th Tuesday of the month. So if you can't make it this time we'll see you in October.

Summer is over, except in the Bay Area where we have summer at the end of summer - so confusing - but one thing remains true: DRUPAL IS EVERYWHERE.
We are changing up the group format a little going forward and streamlining the content presentations so we can have more time for the meet-and-greet with other members.   I want to foster more discussion between users at SFDUG I hope this will help.
