og2list test and demo instances @ postcarbon. Please help test, it's easy now!!!

After promising this for a long time I have finally got three new instances of Drupal/og2list ready for public consumption.

http://og2list.postcarbon.org is the Post Carbon version demo site. There are a couple of demo og2list groups there, and I made some posts showing off some of the cooler functionality of the PCI private version.

http://og2list-b4.postcarbon.org will always run the current CVS head version.

http://og2list-after.postcarbon.org is CVS HEAD plus whtaever patch(es) are being currently tested.

Let's get some movement towards testing and RTBC patches and a 5.x release!

Hey everybody!

I thought it was long past time to make the first post. I've just backported a new bug fix regarding node revisions, and I took the time to go back and look at some of the newer issues.

There are quite a few patches to HEAD that need more testing from people in this group so that we can mark them as RTBC and get them committed.

Once those outstanding bug fixes are there, then I think we have a more than stable enough version of og2list that we could make a 5.x-1.0 release of it at last.

OG2List reverse bounty - email attachments, attachment virus checking, multisite config - OPEN

My name is Mack Hardy, I am the technology manager for a non-profit called Post Carbon Institute.

Post Carbon Institute is running OG for its Relocalization Network (http://www.relocalize.net/grouplist). We all need communication tools to organize, only when we are organized can we be effective. We want to enhance og2list so that our users can choose to use email as the primary interface to other people in their groups. OG2List is promsing, but has a couple outstanding features which we are going to fund further development of.

Bounty for og2list and mass mail improvements - Post Carbon Institute

Hi Y'all

Not sure what new development is happening on OG2List, or mass mailer for 4.7. I am the technology manager for Post Carbon Institute (http://www.relocalize.net) , we are running an OG site and have got OG2List working, but want to improve OG2List in a number of ways, we are also planning on expanding the module. There are 3 developers in Vancouver on our team, but we need some help. I'd like to hear from anyone else doing mail integration on where their projects are at so far. If any one has time available, I have some budget to help with further development on these modules. I would like to be able to do what google groups is doing.

Og2List and Cpanel/WHM????

Hey there,
Tried to get my systems administrator to install og2list today.
He replied:
" Are you sure you want us to make all those mail router configuration changes to your exim config. I do not see cpanel supporting this software and so mails on other domains may get messed up by this. "

So I ask you: "Will og2list work with a dedicated host running cpanel/whm?"
When I tried to add the settings to my exim.conf file on my own all other mail stopped.. When I removed the changes I made the email resumed being sent... all email that didn't go through in the interim was then allowed to be delivered.. so nothing was lost.... but then I had no idea what order to put things in or if some settings should combine with or supercede others...

Port og2list to Postfix MTA

The OSL infrastructure uses Postfix. To get mailing list support for groups, we'll need to port og2list to work with Postfix.
