Newb: How do I link to a specific OG url? **SOLVED**

Hi,

solution>

My final setup looks like this:

[group:author:name],

[account:name] requests membership for group '[group:title]' in [group:url].

To activate this user, make sure you have logged in here: [site:login-url]

and then click the link below:

[group:url]#overlay=group/node/[group:nid]/admin/people&overlay-context=content/[group:group-group]

[og_membership:og-membership-request]

This takes the user straight to the page where they can activate the user.

Multiple Leagues on a single Drupal installation with OG, Context and PURL

Just launch version 7.x-1.7 of the League Module.
After a lot of reading, writing and testing, finally integrated with OG, Context and PURL.
Have to program a small "spaces" module.
Basically:
Activate OG, Context and PURL
Define a Tournament Content Type (Node) and set as OG Group.
Goto Configuration -> Organic Groups -> OG Context /admin/config/group/context and check OG PURL.
Define Game Type, Person Type and Team Content as OG Content. League entities already integrate OG on its Type Form.
Create each tournament and define its URL preffix.

Organic Groups Dynamic Content Type Challenge

Not sure if this is even possible (well I guess everything is possible), but here goes.

I have a group structure where the group manager can create questions for other group members to answer. Those questions currently fill a select list in the group content posts via entity reference.

Here is the hard part:

Allow registered users to create new groups and manage their groups

Hi,

I am using organic groups 7x.2x and i am able to create groups from site administrator panel.
But my site will also allow registered users to create new groups(public and private). May be site administrator can approve the new requests.
Can any one tell me how to do this.
Do i need to create views for it to capture new group details or is the og provides feature this feature already.
Thanks in advance.

Allow all OG members to view/edit all content

Hi.

I'm pretty new to OG and I'm testing a collaborative intranet site at this moment with Drupal7 and Organic Groups 7.x-2.3.

It is a simple app for a small group where all the members know each other and can be trusted. We're working on a Degrowth Workshop (link to the workshop announcement, in Spanish).

Forcing OG group membership on site registration

I have various content types that are associated with my OG 7.x-2.x groups. When a site member who is not a member of any group attempts to create content using any of the these content types they cannot create new content.

If a site member is a member of at least one OG, then they can use the content type and create content.

I want site members to be able to use these content types regardless of whether they belong to one or more organic groups. Failing that, I would like to create a generic group that all members are forced to join on registration.

What are my options?

Organic group content per user access

I am in the middle of figuring how to setup a per user based group content access permission.

The scenario is like this.
I have a group of users, when publishing a post into the group, the author will be able to select which member from the group will be able to access the content.

Anyone has experience on this kind of implementation, mind to share?

OG 7.2 View of a User's Groups

I am struggling to build a simple view of a user's groups to be displayed on their profile page. This was fairly straightforward with 7.1 but I can't seem to get the view configured with 7.2. I just want to display a list of the group titles that represent the user's subscribed groups.

Ideas welcome.

I can't find the right relationship to allow a contextual filter based on the UID, which I assume needs to be passed to the view to determine the user's groups.

Call to action: Go Organic Groups way.

I am with little success, or to express myself more correct - in very time consuming way building couple communities with Drupal 7. The centerpiece of them has to be some kind of a forum.
