Block placement adjunct to core Drupal block system

I'd like a module that would allow administrators to more intuitively determine block placement, both on the page and throughout the site, using the core Drupal block system. This is what I'm thinking of:

o A button on every page should allow administrators to edit the blocks <i>for that page</i>.
      o When not administering blocks,
+ Quick links (ajax) should be displayed on each block for
                  # hiding from this page
                  # hiding from all pages with path …
                  # configuring the block

Drupal 7 & Views: Inaktivera Main page content i Blocks

Allt ser bra ut i Admin -> Reports -> Status.

Vad göra?

Is this a Multisite problem?

I have a top domain and 4 subdomains running off the same code in my Multisite setup. I'm running 6.19 Drupal core that I upgraded last weekend.

In two of these subdomains, when I go into Administer/Blocks, I get a white screen and this message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare block_admin_display() (previously declared in /--mysite--/modules/comment/block/block.admin.inc:12) in /--mysite--/modules/block/block.admin.inc on line 23

It is strange because the top domain and the 2 other subdomains go into Blocks OK. If it's not a Multisite problem, is a Drupal code problem?

Drupal 7 usability improvements part II : Blocks

I'm in the middle of trying to figure out the right experience for installing and using Acquia's hosted search platform. In doing so, I had to think about how to build pages that were Solr enabled. In parallel, I've been thinking about a better way work with blocks. The two topics were fairly connected, so I started working on some concepts.
