background-image

I have facing the content node background images, i have try few module but no one can full fill my request and i saw some article is customize the node.tpl.php but i not familiar with php any one have idea or example can show me.

I would like to have a different background for the member directory page (mysite.com/website). Is there an easy way to do this? As it is, the background image from the welcome page also displays on the member directory page. I would like the /website page to have a white background.

I am building/styling a Zen subtheme. I'm doing something quite simple using a background-image to replace a list item (<li>), but the image isn't showing up in the page.
