Testing Multiple Variations of Content within Drupal

Apologies for posting this same conversation to two groups, I couldn't determine the best place for this conversation to take place as it is relevant to both groups.

I wanted to start a discussion on best practices for optimizing content stored within Drupal for click-throughs and conversions. I am familiar with external tools like Optimizely and Google Analytics Content Experiments, and use them regularly for A/B and multivariate testing. They have not proven great, though, when wanting to automate testing of content within the CMS.

Brainstorming for Adobe (Omniture) Test&Target integration

I haven't seen any sign of an official Test&Target integration for Drupal. Having one would be very useful. Here are my initial thoughts on how it could work.

  1. You can have MBoxes to replace whole pages. This is handy for testing different splash or landing pages. Drupal integration could offer you the chance to put 2 or more paths in and then render access to any of them as a test.

After seeing a Google Website Optimizer module for WordPress I started looking for a similar module for Drupal. I came across the following Google Website Optimizer module. It is useful for multivariate testing. I was wondering what other SEOs/Interactive Designers are using for optimizing website content and improving website usability? Are there any other modules that offer similar or added benefits?
