Participation in this event is of course free, but please sign up so that we can get an accurate head count.
Tentative Schedule:

10:30 - 11:00 Non-profit's representative explains site requirements
11:00 - 11:30 Define site features and functionality

Participants should bring their own laptop (with wifi capability) and an extension cord. Laptops should have the following software installed: Apache 2, PHP 5, MySQL 5, and a Subversion client.
If you are unable to bring your own laptop, there will be opportunities to partner up with others, Xtreme Programming-style.
Also if anyone's interested, some of us will meet up on the following day to train the non-profit on how to use and maintain their new website. More information on that event will be available at the Code Sprint.
If we have enough participants, we might be able to build a website for two non-profit organizations. So its very important that we get an accurate attendee count. Please vote on which non-profit we should sponsor:
1) Center for Environmental Concerns - Philippines (CEC PHILS) -
Established in 1989, the Center for Environmental Concerns-Philippines (CEC Philippines) is a non-governmental organization committed to environmental protection and rehabilitation by promoting awarenesss, knowledge and use of environmental protection and rehabilitation concepts and technologies.
2) Philippine Peasant Movement -
Philippine Peasant Movement is a nationwide federation of Philippine organizations of landless peasants, small farmers, farm workers, subsistence fisherfolk, peasant women and rural youth. It has effective leadership over a total of 800,000 rural people comprising roughly 9% of the Philippine agricultural labor force. It has 55 provincial and 6 regional chapters nationwide.
3) Amado V. Hernandez Resource Center -
Amado V. Hernandez Resource Center (AVHRC), a grassroots cultural institution, which aims to perpetuate and honor the legacy and struggles of Ka Amado. The organization was started by social activist Satur Ocampo, who is now a congressman of the Bayan Muna Party-List, as the Amado V. Hernandez Foundation. Now, the AVHRC is known for holding an annual literary contest in Ka Amado's name of works written in Filipino and dealing with working-class issues and lives.
4) Kodao Productions -
KODAO Productions produces and distributes audio-visual and related materials on relevant subjects to promote the self-determining and democratic struggle of the Filipino people for cultural, political and economic development.

Salamat, Mahalo, Thank you!
A big THANK YOU -- or as we say in Hawaii, Mahalo -- to everyone who participated in Drupal Code Sprint Manila. The two non-profit organizations were very pleased with what we were able to accomplish in one short day.
A special thank you goes out to Rick, DL, and Marc for helping out with the planning of the event; to Ganni for all his help on the day of the event; to Rick for posting a summary of the event; to the Computer Professionals Union for securing the Kubo; and for collectivetech.org for providing free web hosting services for the non-profits...
Thank you also to those who have committed to continue helping the non-profits with the development of their respective websites. Please post any updates you have to this group. We'd love to hear about your progress.

(Translation: Congrats to all! We just showed the world that we can accomplish good things by working together.)
It is such a blessing to experience this once-in-a-lifetime activity with all of you. Ang sarap pala ng feeling (The feeling tastes delicious?@# lol) I still remember savoring the pizza while sharing skills with our dev't team for Kodao Productions. Too bad it all has to end eventually.
Well then, let the rain pour! No umbrellas.
Just in case this kind of event won't happen again, I take this time to express my deepest "thanks" to all the participants. :)
Sa uulitin! (Till next time!)
