I've just registered for DrupalCon Austin 2014 and my sweetheart is coming with me. Does anyone have hints or thoughts on where to stay? I want a place that is lower cost but still nice and close and/or convenient to the Convention Center. Looking In Google/Shopping, some hotels are pretty close and others are a couple of miles away. Does anyone know what to expect in the way of shuttle services? Is public transit in Austin likely to be useful? Are cabs likely to be available? Can I rent a bike for the week? Will there be places to listen to some music within a short walk of the Convention Center?
