Vancouver

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Welcome to VANDUG!

The Vancouver Drupal Users Group (VanDUG) is the local meeting place for Greater Vancouver people interested in Drupal. We were formerly known as the Vancouver League of Drupalers, but that's a long story.

The group mostly hangs out on Slack at https://vandug.slack.com/. We also post our meetings on Meetup.com at https://www.meetup.com/Vancouver-Drupal-Users-Group. All are welcome, it's listed as a private group to keep out the griefers.

We've been holding semi-regular virtual meetings during COVID-19.

Geo Restriction?

Hi all,

I'm working on a site at the moment where the client wants to allow access only to people within certain geographic limits. I know hulu.com only streams videos to the US and gives an alert to us Canadians. Specifically we want to allow access only to i.p. addresses in British Columbia, and provide a similar alert box to outsiders. Any ideas on how I can do this?

Thanks,

Ryan

Canadian Gaming site Needs Help

www.game-boyz.com is looking for people who can help with some site issues we are having. We can't offer any $ but we can offer plenty of shwag, games (all platforms), product release party invites and free admission to events like E3, CES, GDC etc....

We have some excellent relationships with developers and manufacturers so networking opportunities abound.

If you can spare a few hours your help will be greatly appreciated.

Email me murray@game-boyz.com

Cheers

Murray

Add more CCK text fields without save / re-edit in Drupal 5

Drupal 6 has this natively -- an "Add more" button that adds additional fields. In Drupal 5, you have to save the node, then edit it, and only then do you have three more text fields to input.

I'm looking for a module or a form_alter snippet or whatever that can do something similar in Drupal 5. Anyone got pointers?
