The Vancouver Drupal Users Group (VanDUG) is the local meeting place for Greater Vancouver people interested in Drupal. We were formerly known as the Vancouver League of Drupalers, but that's a long story.
The group mostly hangs out on Slack at https://vandug.slack.com/. We also post our meetings on Meetup.com at https://www.meetup.com/Vancouver-Drupal-Users-Group. All are welcome, it's listed as a private group to keep out the griefers.
We've been holding semi-regular virtual meetings during COVID-19.

Presentation proposal: Functional testing with Twill, Nose, and SQLAlchemy
Hey folks, I have no idea whether this would be of interest to people for a presentation topic, but I'd be happy to present it, so throwing it out there:
Topic: Functional testing and Drupal automation with Twill, Nose, and SQLAlchemy:
- Twill is a python based DSL and library for writing web bots and functional non-javascript browser testing
- Nose is an xUnit style test runner and discovery tool in python that makes writing test suites very easy
- SQLAlchemy is a Python database ORM and toolkit that makes automating anything at the database level very fast

Hello everyone,
I'm having trouble installing Drupal on my laptop with Windows Vista Home Edition. I have tried numerous times to install XAMPP and WAMP and have not had any success. I have also followed instructions I found on the Internet and installed each one of Apache/PHP/MySQL by itself. Is there anyone out there who has successfully installed Apache/PHP/MySQL server under Windows Vista Home Edition?
