Welcome to VANDUG!
The Vancouver Drupal Users Group (VanDUG) is the local meeting place for Greater Vancouver people interested in Drupal. We were formerly known as the Vancouver League of Drupalers, but that's a long story.
The group mostly hangs out on Slack at https://vandug.slack.com/. We also post our meetings on Meetup.com at https://www.meetup.com/Vancouver-Drupal-Users-Group. All are welcome, it's listed as a private group to keep out the griefers.
We've been holding semi-regular virtual meetings during COVID-19.

November 2008 Meeting: Internationalization & Multilingual Websites
Join us at 6:30pm on Thursday November 20, 2008 at Raincity Studios for the Vancouver League of Drupalers November meeting. This month's feature presentation is on internationalization and multilingual websites with Jim DeLaHunt.
There will also be time set aside for people wanting to connect around attending Drupalcon Washington.
We still have a slot available for a mini-case study if someone wants to volunteer.

Washington DC drupalcon discussion - who's interested in going?
Drupalcon DC is coming up in March 2009.
Things to consider:
* who is interested to go?
* group travel?
* shared accommodation with a few small groups?
* time/cost comparison of traveling from Vancouver or Seattle?
Anyone interested in going to drupalcon 2009 in Washington DC, let's meet at a cafe, to discuss.
Suggested location: Salty tongue in Gastown, (near Raincity Studios) on Carrall Street, north of Hastings.

Vancouver goes to DrupalCon DC 2009
So, I know this is ridiculously early, and yet at the same time all the early bird tickets are basically sold out.
I was asked to propose a session for DrupalCon DC 2009 to help launch the website -- it's Practical Semantic Web and Why You Should Care (aside: Jim Pick is kicking off Semantic Vancouver, event on Upcoming).
I missed Hungary (my first one I missed ever!) and I really would like to go to DC.
