Drupalcon Updates
Im at Drupalcon with axle_foley00 and brunox . So far we have gotten verbal sponsorship confirmation from Lullabot, Phase 2 and Zivtech to sponsor Drupal Camp Jamaica. They suggested that we should do it in the winter for best support from them. I am thinking about January. Will let you know how that pans out.
Anybody planning on going to DrupaCon Denver 2012?
Is there anyone here who plans on attending Drupalcon Denver, whether you are sure or unsure let me know please.
Networking...
It's either there are no Drupal developers in Trinidad and Tobago or they all started speaking spanish... Come on guys and gals...What is the real scene??

Official Haitian Creole Translation Effort
There's now an official Haitian Creole translation effort at http://localize.drupal.org/translate/languages/ht
We have one site who is starting work on the translation - the more people we can get involved, the quicker it will go. If you're involved with a site and are (or know somebody who is) interested in contributing to a Haitian Creole translation, please get involved. The Localization Client module (http://drupal.org/project/l10n_client) makes it drop-dead easy (no, seriously) to get involved and contribute.

HI,
I am Samy a french man living and married in T&T.
I am very enthousiast about Drupal and webdesign and would like to meet with other Drupal fans in T&T.
I live in San Fernando but according to Shivan "Trinidadians have this strange culture that if an event is taking
place in south its not as important" so if you would like to help me make this meeting possible, contact me.
I am looking at an event (just a meeting in a wifi hotspot to know each other) which could take place before carnival...

Welcome
Sup everyone. I’m really excited to help xamount start this group up. Just got back from DrupalCon DC and met up with 2 Caribbean Drupal developers there. I learned a lot and would definitely like to see more Caribbean developers/themers at the CONs. I hope that we could organize some DrupalCamps and maybe even a DrupalCon someday (but I’ll try not to get ahead of myself).
I also wanted to congratulate xamount for making the Drupal home page a couple of weeks back with the Trinidad Guardian, that was some good stuff.
