Chicago's local community of various user groups focused on Drupal. Groups have meetings each month in/around Chicago. Please be sure to join our group if interested in posting or hearing about Drupal-related job opportunities in the Chicagoland area.
Drupal Chicago holds two meetups each month. The Regular meetup is held the third Thursday of each month and will provide something of interest to everyone. Presentations and speakers are aimed at a general audience, with site show-and-tells, module demonstrations, news and announcements, and question and answer sessions. If you are new to Drupal, this is a great place to start and continue to learn about new Drupal things.
The Developers' Roundtable (formerly CADUG) is held the second Tuesday of each month, and the location rotates among our agency sponsors in Chicago and Evanston. This is a place we can get together and talk about solving specific issues developers face. We do not shy away from hard problems, providing an open forum to discuss and present on topics related to Drupal. This meetup is a sounding board for ideas, solutions and questions alike. There are no dumb questions and no problems too "simple" or too "advanced" - everyone should participate. We invite members of all skill levels to attend this group, ask questions and learn new things.
If you are new to Drupal, please attend one of our free Drupal training sessions aimed at new users during Global Training Days.
Everyone should also check out the Village of Oak Park Drupal User Group which focuses on mentoring with core contribution sprints. Learn and contribute at the same time!
Feel free to join us in person at any of these valuable events. All skill levels are welcome!
Volunteers in the Chicago Drupal Group also organize MidCamp - Midwest Drupal Camp. Drupal camps are multi-day events that can include training days, session days, code and documentation sprints, and social events. Held annually in March, MidCamp is quickly becoming one of the larger and prestigious Drupal camps due to its high level of speakers, content, accessibility, and attention to detail.
Much respect must given to the organizers of the original, Chicago Drupal Meetup Group. For years CDMUG hosted Meetups, Training Days, Drupal Camps, and even helped put on a DrupalCon in our great city. For all their efforts building our community, we are forever grateful.
Are there any Drupal groups in Chicago's north suburbs? Is anyone in the Chicago group located in the north suburbs? I am an experienced designer and site builder (not a developer) and would love to meet other people doing Drupal in my area.Read more

Hi Oly/Seattle and Chicago Drupal folks. I am posting this in the hopes that someone local has a bit of time and the skill to assist us.
We have a project for a major NFL fan site that has a very tight timeline and we could really use another pair of hands on the backend API integration pieces.
We have a lead developer and would very much like to add another to supplement and meet the deadline of July 24.
Please email email@example.com to discuss rate and availability. Thanks!Read more
