February Meetup!
This month we're meeting in Downtown Houston at the SoftLayer office, a hosting company that recently acquired The Planet (in the same offices The Planet occupied, for those familiar).
Phil Jackson will talk to us about how they use Drupal, and we'll have the usual time for conversation as well. Be sure and come out, as I am sure we'll all learn something.
They are generously providing some food and drinks, so please don't miss this one.

Drupalize.me - feedbacks
Has anyone used Drupalize.me and what their thoughts on that might be. Is it a pretty effective tool to get past the Drupal learning curve? How does it compare to Lynda.com if you have done that as well. Looking to advance my noobish Drupal skills.

So, we're having our January meetup TOMORROW (1/26/2012). Should be at the same Bat-Time and Bat-Place (Caroline Collective, 7pm). Any venue changes will be updated here.
Tomorrow's planned presentation is from yours truly (ME). I'll be discussing my experiences with Core Office Hours. The focus will be on how you can contribute to Drupal and how contributing can HELP you!

I am looking into rebuilding a site - that is currently in Wordpress (ack! as a CMS) but I want to rebuild it using Drupal - now here is the question right now the site is currently on a Shared Hosting somewhere else - but I want to build it using my hosting and then when I am done and it's ready to go "LIVE" then have it activated over my side (which I know I can change the nameservers) but the question is - can the site be built with the ip's/~domainname and when I am done then turn on clean urls?

Anyone got suggestions for a good host - that is Drupal friendly? Looking for a shared or reseller host where I can have multiple drupal sites with them.
If you know of some - please do let me know.
I currently have a VPS but looking into other alternatives as well that might be more efficient.
