p>Everyone in the industry knows how important semantic HTML is in order to create an accessible site, but have you ever wondered if there is more to an building accessible product than just development? Have you ever thought about how a visually impaired person may use your site? How about someone with mobility issues or who uses prosthetics? This month Michaela Blackham will be reviewing who these accommodations are created for, common difficulties for these users, and the various ways to solve the common issues that arise from some of your users.

With another Drupal Camp Colorado in the books, this month we'll look back on what we learned from 2017's camp and get ready for 2018. Camp organizers want to hear from you, the attendees, about what worked and what can be made better. One topic of a lot of discussion has been "getting off the Drupal island", and working together with other local technology communities. Another has been reaching out to higher education, and helping students make career essential contacts in the industry. We look forward to hearing everyone's ideas, and are excited to get to work on next year's camp!

Let's face it - every project isn't perfect. You make the perfect project plan, you execute with excitement, and before you know it you've completed 50% of the work with 20% of the work remaining. How do you manage the 30% gap? At first thought, you may want to ignore the overage and cross your fingers that somehow everything will be just fine. You may also want to try and cut some corners internally to stay off the clients radar.

Drupal Menu Save Issues

Hey DBUG,

I learned a lot from our last meet-up and being my second month as part of the community (most of you were luckily in Baltimore) got to meet a lot more people.

Quick question that I would like to bring to the group: Anyone else having issues saving menu items in Drupal 8? I've been apart of the following discussion https://www.drupal.org/node/2735797 and no one can quite seem to figure it out. Once you make edits to nodes that are linked in a menu, that menu items becomes disabled. In some instances it seems as if all menu items become disabled.

This month, Peter Weber will show how Aten built a Drupal-powered API for generating levels for an HTML5, SVG and JavaScript game engine. This system allowed content editors to create a limitless number of unique, hand-crafted levels for an early childhood education game without additional development costs.

Together we'll cover how we used Drupal to create configurable level entities, the tools and techniques we used to make an interactive game with SVG and JavaScript, and how we internationalized our audio instructions by integrating Drupal with the Watson API.

DrupalCon Baltimore is upon us. Like right now, this very moment. Developers and designers and managers from all over the world are gathered to learn about and improve on Drupal. And we're here in Denver away from the fun *sad face emoji*.

While we may not be able to attend the amazing after parties or get a fresh new collection of stickers for our laptops, we still have access to the wave of knowledge coming out of Baltimore this year. Keynotes and sessions are recorded and posted, so let's take advantage of that.
