Content is along the lines of:
a) We think a decision has been reached, and here's the decision. Feedback?
b) We're trying to reach a decision, and we need help. Here's where to chime in to help us reach it.
c) General status reports about "Hey, if you've been busy for the past while, here's what's going on and what things you should know."
Unfortunately, this group needs to be kept invite-only in order to keep the content curated to only important announcements of general interest, but you are warmly encouraged to comment and participate on any discussions posted to this group!

We are right at a week and a half from the feature freeze deadline as this meeting is being held. For this very limited time, we are naturally only focusing on a very limited set of issues, but probably still too much to sanely go through, so we need all hands to help and get through the final stretch!

We are in the final stretch nearing feature freeze for Drupal 8 coming on December 1st. What does that mean? Well, although not everybody agrees on the specifics, generally it means new things will not be possible to get in, but smoothening out what is already included and applying existing APIs and features to systems not yet covered should be the focus then. At the multilingual intiaitive, we'd love to do extensive user testing of all the new and changed things as well as make our APIs more consistent and better documented after December 1st.
However, for three weeks, the wild ride of feature additions is still on and we still have some key features to add before the time runs out. So I'd like to call your attention to just these few issues that need immediate help and feedback.

Drupal 8 Multilingual Initiative meeting on November 7th, 2012
Once again, our regular bi-weekly Wednesday meeting time is here! (See all the meeting times at http://groups.drupal.org/node/257888).
First off, we are going to celebrate some great stuff from BADCamp, but then get back down to work and look at the current top priority task board and cherry-pick everybody's favorites. All of those are in dire need of reviews and input, so if you can spare some time to look at those, that would be superb! We need your help to get through the finish line!
At the time of this meeting, we'll only have 23 days left (barely more than 3 weeks!!) until code freeze! Keep moving!

Hey Drupal PM Peeps...
Ok opening the floodgates (I hope), anyone want to help PM Drupal 8 stuff? Here are off the top of my head 8 things I think would be helpful (ps: IO = Iniative Owner)
1) Tracking down people who are going to work on stuff, getting status updates & reporting back to Initiative Owners
2) Scrumming weekly w/ IO's to get updates & posting to hackpad or gdocs
3) Attending meetings (weekly or bi-weekly) and posting a summary (meeting minutes template anyone?)
4) Interview an IO and post summary of their sprint retrospective
