Our goal is to get 1% of active users on drupal.org to contribute to Drupal core by 2014 by organizing "learn sprints" and "issue sprints" at Drupal User Group meetups, camps and conferences.
drupalladder.org is a central place for people to find and contribute lessons and materials. drupalladder.org is built on the Drupal Ladder distro, which people can download and use on their personal computers to work through the Drupal Ladder lessons.
The Drupal Ladder distro and drupalladder.org are products of the Boston Initiative, an experiment aiming to figure out how to make it easier for people to learn about and contribute to Drupal.
Note that we do not accept job postings or non-Drupal Ladder events in this group. Any posts that go off-topic from the goals of this group will be removed.

Hello Boulder Area Drupalchix (and Allies) --
This is a bi-monthly Boulder DrupalChix DBUG Meetup, which takes place on the third Thursday of every other month. In April we will be meeting at Applied Trust in Boulder, 1033 Walnut Street, Boulder, Colorado 80302

DC: Boston Initiative planning meeting notes
Several of us met last night to discuss bringing the Boston Initiative to DC. I've cleaned these notes up a bit, but they're still a bit rough. We wound up debating the merits of and concerns about LearnDrupal.org, but came away with plans to get things started.

New Copenhagen Meetup!
We've been having a great time meeting up for beer on a monthly basis, and I'd like to add another kind of meetup for our community, where we sit down with laptops and actually do some Drupaling. At DrupalCon I talked with folks about the new Learn Drupal project (http://learndrupal.org) which is designed to get people involved with working on Drupal Core. I'd like to start having a regular meetup where we gather and work on the Learn Drupal ladder together. It should be a great learning opportunity, along with getting everyone more involved.
