After Drupal Camp Mumbai in Feb 2014 more Drupal Developers have expressed interest to work on projects related to the Government sector in India.

Drupal has emerged as a CMS of choice for Government applications. The Open Data portal of India based on Drupal marks the first real breakthrough for Drupal in Government space. Drupal has the potential to provide flexible, low cost, scalable solutions to Government agencies of all levels and help them break free from the shackles of proprietary software.

Membership is open to Drupal enthsiasts, solution providers and government executives who have an interest in Drupal.

Drupal provides an opportunity to create customized solutions for Government departments. This group can help identify the possible solutions and create them in the Drupal way and help the Governance of this Country (India).

Aim: This group is meant to bridge the needs of the Public Servants with the expertise of Drupalers. It will focus on creating modules that facilitate #OpenData #Collaboration, #Crowdsourcing #DigitalEngagement etc.
