The mission of this group is to communicate transparently amongst Indian community leaders and the Drupal Association about where DrupalCon in India should be hosted. The decision will be based on community leader input, financial feasibility studies, great community input, and other key data points.

HI everyone,
I'm really excited to share that DrupalCon Asia in India is happening. By working with the community leaders from the three cities we evaluated, we were able to work out the logistics and budget. We are going to announce the location during the closing session at DrupalCon Los Angeles. Many of these community leaders will be at the event and will be on stage for the reveal.
Additionally, I will share details about our plans during the Wednesday public board meeting during DrupalCon Los Angeles. (I won't be sharing WHERE the event is though).

Hello everyone,
I want to thank all of you for providing me with your local insight, recommendations, and research for our site visit in January. I also want to thank each community for your hospitality. Rachel and I felt the trip was perfectly set up for a successful site visit plus we were both touched by all the community time we had with you - a trip of a lifetime. Here is a blog post from my trip. https://assoc.drupal.org/blog/megansanicki/india-%E2%80%93-embracing-con...

We will be touring venues on the following days:
6th (afternoon), 7th January, 8th January: Bangalore
10th (afternoon), 12th & 13th January: Delhi
15th & 16th January: Mumbai
Looking for some great case studies
HI everyone,
Thanks for connecting me to people in the community so I can get some good stories to share in my camp keynote.
I'm also looking for some case studies.
Can you tell me of a site or two that was built in India?
Specifically, who was it built for?
Who built it?
What makes it special and stand out?
If there is a link to a case study, please share that, too.
Thanks so much!
Megan
Looking for some great community member stories
Hi,
I will be speaking at DrupalCamp Delhi and at a Drupal Meet up in Mumbai during my site visit. I am very interested in highlighting Indian community members who found Drupal, got involved, and are contributing back to the community. Can you tell me who you recommend and can you put me in touch with that person? I'd love to talk to them and get their story.
Thanks so much,
Megan

Hi everyone,
We have just published a blog post, asking the community for their feedback on the three top cities we are evaluating for a DrupalCon in India: Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi.
It is important that we hear from the community about their preference. It is not a vote, but rather a good data point to help us make a decision.
Can you please promote this blog post to your local communities?

Meeting Notes: November 11, 2014 Feasibility Study Report Out
I want to thank Mayank Chadha, Rachit Gupta, Ani Gupta, Hussain Abbas, Chakrapani R, and others for pricing out event costs in their city. We greatly appreciate the time they put into this effort.
Today, the team met to review the financial feasibility study for Bangalore, Bombay, and Delhi.
And we discussed next steps. Here are the meeting notes:

About this project
The Drupal Association board and staff have identified India as the next possible place to host a DrupalCon outside of North America/Europe. The target date is February 2016.
Here is a link to the spreadsheet that lists the community leaders who were asked to contribute their insights into where we should host a DrupalCon in India. If you notice that a community leader is missing from this list, please email megan@association.drupal.org and she will include him/her.
