Hey fellow small Drupal shops! It's time to do some DrupalCon Baltimore planning. I left last year's BoF jazzed about working with other small Drupal shops and with hopes of making the next DrupalCon more small shop friendly. After working as a Local Track Chair I feel more strongly as ever that we have to work to make DrupalCon work for us small shops. Here's some ideas but please chime in with you're own.
- Form a working group and meet regular online to make preparations for DrupalCon Baltimore
- Schedule a time for us to meet during DrupalCon
DrupalCon North America is coming to Baltimore, Maryland from April 24 - 28th. The call for proposals closes this Wednesday, February 1st. If you're interested in submitting a speaking session for the Project Management track - https://events.drupal.org/baltimore2017/tracks/#project-management
We’re seeking sessions which align with the following topics:
- Project Planning Techniques: Sprint Planning, Resource Allocation and Backlog Grooming
- Scope, Timing and Cost: Managing the Triple Constraint
- The Agile Movement
- Leading Virtual, Remote and Dispersed Teams
Planning for a Drupal Ahmedabad Meetup on 12th Nov. 4pm to 6pm.
1.) Anybody interested in presenting a session?
2.) Points/inputs for agenda
Looks like we're going to have a good turnout at tonight's Baltimore Drupal Meetup (DrupalCon Edition) with our special guest Amanda from the Drupal Association.
DrupalCon is only six months away! So let's get conversations going on how we can best show off the Baltimore, DC and the Mid-Atlantic Drupal communities. I'm sure we can find some great ways to welcome 5,000 people from around the world.
And while we're at it let's brainstorm ways we take advantage of DrupalCon to strengthen our community and promote local talent!
See you all tonight at Bertha's in Fells Point!
Just wanted to share this BOF about building communities with Drupal.
Depending on the amount of attendees we will split up in design, development, business sub-groups.
Attending, among others:
Jaap Jan Koster, head of development at drupal.org/project/opensocial
Mark Conroy, front-end developer and Chairperson Drupal Association of Ireland, build first version of http://www.irelandxo.com/
Hope to see you there! Have a great DrupalCon everyone :)

For those of you that are attending Drupalcon NOLA this year I would like suggest we plan an evening where we can do a Tennessee get together before one of the bigger parties/social events, the list can be seen here https://events.drupal.org/neworleans2016/social-events (although would be helpful if that page also grouped the events based on start times and not just the day). Anyone attending have a date & time and/or location (restaurant/bar) that would be interesting to meetup?
also sorry if I did the tags wrong, don't post in groups.do much.Read more
Did your session proposal for DrupalCon New Orleans get rejected? Don’t feel bad, there were a lot of proposals after all.
The good news is that, if you’re at MidCamp this weekend, you can still earn a free ticket ($550 value) to the biggest Drupal event in North America.
Prove your Drupal genius with Promet Source’s Drupal trivia at MidCamp! Head over to the official Promet Source booth in the MidCamp exhibit hall on Friday, March 18 or Saturday, March 19 to play.
