This group has been founded as a result of DrupalCon San Francisco 2010, when it became obvious that there was a need for a place to extend the fruitful higher education-focused discussions that began there.

Best Permission Modules/Scheme for complex University D7 site
Hi,
I'd be curious to hear some recommendations for handling permissions and workflow for a very complex University site. This is a single site with over 20 sections for schools/departments - not subsites. Within each school/department there would need users who can add/edit content only in their section and other users who can approve/publish content in those sections.

Which is the Official Wiki Page
Where is the official list of universities using Drupal? I've now seen a couple including https://groups.drupal.org/node/11258
I've gone through a few in Canada and would like to add them to a central list.
The Drupal in Higher Education page has a list, but there is no link to edit it. I can't seem to find it via Google.

Need Site Maintenance Firm
I work at a small community college in northeastern AZ. Our Drupal 6 site is about seven years old. We are waiting on D8 to be ready and then we will redesign the entire site. We have no in-house Drupal staff and contract all our site work out. We are losing our site maintenance provider and are seeking a new one. Many firms don't want to do site maintenance so I am having a hard time finding a company. Could you please recommend some that do quality work. Thanks!

We've had a lot of discussion about hosted services across institutions at the past few DrupalCons/Camps, but AFAIK there's no central list of all of those services. Does anyone know if something like that exists? Should we try to get it together in one of the many higher-ed venues we have?
Useful data I'd like to see:
* Title
* URL
* Hosting
* Approx # of sites
* Fee structure (free, tiered, fixed, direct passing on costs)
* Link to sample site
* Link to documentation
* Contact person/form
iMindsX Platform: showcase for Learning Locker integration (and more)
As mentioned previously, we've been working hard on integrating Drupal with Learning Locker. Next to this we've invested heavily in usability for a blended learning platform based on Drupal. We'd like to show the Drupal community the two components on a live demo:
