A place to discuss Drupal in Higher Education
This Group is a split-off of the Drupal Education Group and aims ito deal with issues and challenges that are unique to Drupal in post-secondary academic environments. This group has been founded as a result of Drupalcon San Francisco 2010 when it became obvious that there was a need for a place to extend the fruitful discussions that began there.

I'm a long-time Drupalista, but more recently spending the majority of my contribution time as a Mozilla Rep, and Mozilla's Webmaker project teaching kids web and digital literacy.
We're launching (what we think is) the first Youth Open Source project (GenOpen) through our global network of Mozilla Reps running webmaking hackjams, and we need ideas FROM kids about what we should build.
My blog post looking for ideas: http://tiptoes.ca/?p=925

http://www.drupalcampnj.org/ is a Drupal Camp held at an educational institution. In my mind, there had better be a lot of Drupal in education fans there! Planting this flag in the ground to let others know I'm going but mostly to provide an initial discussion thread as to what topics people would like to cover in BoFs at the event.Read more
The 2nd annual DrupalCamp in NJ will be held on Saturday, Feb 2nd, 2013 on the campus of Princeton University. Tickets are available at http://drupalcampnj2013.eventbrite.com/
We had a great camp last year, and plan to repeat the success this year.
I was doing some research on Drupal Apps for our institution wide Drupal distribution and was wondering if:
a) Does an App server exist specifically for Higher Ed institution's use cases?
b) If not, would there be interest if one existed?
We are accepting session submissions for SANDcamp starting Wednesday, Jan 2 to Wednesday, Jan 9. Please spread the word to your fellow Drupalers and if you haven't registered, do so right now :) Can't beat $10 for two full days of Drupal! https://sandcamp.org/products/registration
This time around we're 2013's SANDcamp old school and putting our focus on promoting the latest Drupal trends, sprints, training and speakers! Camp will be held at UC San Diego campus and will have our socials at the best campus dive Porter's Pub.
Help spread the word :)
