Topic 2-12
The next Drupalcorn meeting is approaching! In January, it was suggested that I should present about using simpletest. I am looking into preparing something and I would like to know first: what sort of custom modules has our group written? I am thinking it would reduce my effort needed to draw from the examples project; do any of the modules in that project look like relevant subjects for our group?
Of course if there's another topic in the works I wouldn't mind waiting for another time.

Jan. CIDUG Meeting 01-08-15: Social Time at Olde Main
Name of this Central Iowa group is "Home"
I only joined this group to mention that the name of the group is "Home" rather than something like "Central Iowa Drupal Users Group" or "Central Iowa". I noticed this when going through all the groups to see which one to join. I don't live in Iowa, though, so I will unjoin soon. Cheers.

Card Sorting is a method used to categorize content into groups which could then be translated to a vocabulary. This method can assist clients with breaking the mold and thinking of their content in a more searchable structure. This method paired with the Drupal Taxonomy Core Module to create vocabularies (Categories and Tags) and filtration can increase site usability.

Oct. CIDUG Meeting 10-9-2014: Managing the things Features doesn't, "in Features."
Features is an essential tool I use every day. Working with Drupal would be much less repeatable without it. I highly recommend incorporating it into your workflow.
Sept. CIDUG Meeting 9-11-2014: Moving Content into Drupal with Migrate Module

Above: migrate module in action.
Are your copy and paste muscles getting fatigued? Do you have data sitting in a MySQL table or CSV file but want it in Drupal fields? Are you frightened when the Migrate module documentation intones, "if you do not have object-oriented programming skills in PHP, this module is not for you?"
Nonsense!
