Welcome to the Groups site for the Nebraska Developers and Users Group, where we discuss, share and find ways to provide local face-to-face interaction which can support activities like hosting speakers, providing tutorials, Question and Answer sessions, establishing relationships with others in the geographic area, and generally expand the community of Drupal users.
As of 2024, our meetings are held bi-monthly in Omaha.
Other ways to connect:
• Slack: The #nebraska channel on drupal.slack.com
• Meetup: Omaha Drupal Meetup
• Twitter: DrupalNebraska
Even if you're from the surrounding areas, we won't hold it against you. You're welcome to join us in person at the meetups or chat in the #nebraska channel on drupal.slack.com. (I'm looking at you Denver/Colorado, Iowa, South Dakota, and Kansas City!)
If you want to get on our radar or get more involved, please share your contact information with us, and fill out our member strengths inventory to help us tailor the group to your needs.

The more I learn to do with Drush, the more efficient I become. One trick that's saved me a lot of time is setting certain Drupal variables with the vset command instead of clicking through the standard admin interface—for example, putting the site in maintenance mode by setting site_offline to 1. Here are four variables I find useful to set via Drush. What are everyone else's favorites?
Statement of Purpose
The more we grow as a group, the more people who join us, the more disparate ideas there will be for projects and places to invest our collective energies. It is important, to ensure the value of the group and its unity, that we have a commonly agreed-upon set of goals at which to aim, against which to judge projects and ideas whether they serve to forward those goals and make us productive in them or merely to distract and exhaust us. To that end, I propose we draft a statement of purpose. Let’s start thinking through the question together, "What is the purpose of our Drupal group? What do we exist for, and what do we hope to accomplish?"
