Hi All,
I have managed to install and run OP 2.2 on shared hosting. Luckily, the provider has been very helpful to accommodate to my request to change the PHP setting. The entering of nodes, as well as displaying the front-page and article has been quite ok. However, I notice that it took almost 30sec to 1mins to access any of those admin related function. Is there any way I can speed up, or identify where exactly the performance issues occured?
Regards

sometime, it took even longer.. 2 to 3 minutes.

it has nothing/something to do with OP.
It's just Drupal that checks for updates on modules and due to the larger number in OP it can take some time.
It's nothing that you can speed up, except disabling the "Update Status" module.

It would be great to get more
It would be great to get more advices (optimizing OP on shared hosting for install it for example, the opportunity to disable some 'big process' modules... how-to.. is it necessary to run it absolutly in the OP process organization... ans so on)
In fact, i want to tell you that many people around me want to test an OP 2.1 or 2.2 (because i tell us OP is great !). And some of them decide to leave it ("articles" too long to load", frontpage runs sometimes slowly...). People want MORE explanations about OP way to install - not how to install- but how to install it properly on hosting solution) - give examples and profiles !!
We want it !
Waiting for the developers to
Waiting for the developers to get the doc in process and then i can explain into detail on how i did it.
Depending on your hosting provider, you could set max memory to 384M and realpath_cache_size higher for example.
