So...any ideas for the next meeting?
Daytime? Night-time? Weekend? Weekday? Or should I just play the old "pick one at random and see who shows up" game again :)
I'm currently thinking somewhere towards the end of July cause I'm a little busy at the moment, but that's just me.

Comments
I can say end of July won't work for me
I will be at the BlogHer Conference (if I survive today). In general, weekends are better for me with so much driving.

Well, between this conflict
Well, between this conflict and Mike's point about the summer being a time for slowing down...let's wait for August.
Cheers,
Greg

New to Drupal
I've just downloaded and installed Drupal, and I'm anxious to get started. I only vaguely understand what it is and think it might be usefull for me, so I can't wait for the next meeting. Mon & Wed are best but, can do Sun if necessary. Consider me there when one is scheduled.

sounds good
We need to have another meeting - but my weekends are pretty busy...
Also, there's BarCampDenver coming up that we should consider and should probably provide a training session...

I could do a weeknight
I still prefer weekends. I also plan to check out the BarCamp.

I can do just about any
I can do just about any night but Tue. The sooner the better. In the meantime, is there a tutorial that walks you through building a and customizing a site? I can't find and basic getting started tutorial.
My schedule is relatively flexible
I'll be out of town next weekend. I prefer weekday evenings but could probably make a weekend meeting.
End of July will be busy
I thought summer was supposed to be a time to slow down, guess not :-). Weekends would be best, perhaps a Sunday night again?

August Meeting?
Hi. I'm new to the group and to Drupal, but very experienced with web design and content management systems. I would love to meet all of you and learn about your projects and how you are using Drupal. I'd also like to bounce some ideas off of you. My schedule is very flexible. Are there plans for a meeting in the coming weeks?
Thanks,
Betsy
barcamp
Hi Betsy,
I'm basically thinking that this month should be a meetup during the BarCampDenver since they are both so close in timing. Thoughts?

Works for me
I'm planning to go to at least one day, probably Saturday but maybe Friday instead.
Works for me
Is there a specific topic or theme to BarCamp, or is it a free-for-all? I can swing by that event sometime either Friday evening or anytime on Saturday.
Drupal vs Joomla
Unfortunately, I'll be out of town that weekend. I was hoping to learn more about Drupal soon since I am now debating whether to use it or Joomla. From what I have read, most people like Drupal better, but it has been far easier to learn Joomla. I can find all sorts of Joomla tutorials, but have yet to find a Drupal tutorial. Tutorials that teach from the point of view of being an absolute CMS begginer. This has resulted in my knowing Joomla much better at this point, and leaning towards it since I'm anxious to move forward quickly. With Joomla right now I am making measurable progress. I vote for an early in the month meeting next month if there is going to be one, otherwise I will probably be committed, for at least the foreseeable future, to Joomla.
I'm out - but Barcamp is still on
So, I'm not going to BarCamp denver, but it will still happen without me regardless of what my ego has me thinking ;)
Also, couloir007 and I met this past week and had a great time discussing drupal over beers at Falling Rock Tap House. He brought up the point that folks might want to have a meeting some other time than I announce and yes, please do that! There's nothing magical about the way that I announce meetings, so anyone else is welcome to "hold" a meeting whenever they want. If it works for me to make it I will, otherwise - have fun without me. There's plenty of knowledgable folks in Denver who will probably show up. The other bit of advice he had was to do it at a regular time.
So, September meeting - Wednesday the 6th. The first Wednesday of the month. Maybe we could make that a standard or something. I've heard a couple complaints about Sunday nights and Friday and Saturday certainly won't work so I just had to pick a weekday.
Unless someone screams bloody murder I'll post an announcement about September 6th in the various places early next week.
To those who do go, have fun at Barcamp and take notes so we can talk about it on September 6th.

Anyone Attending BarCamp?
I can attend the meeting on the 6th, and was wondering if anyone is planning to attend BarCamp tomorrow? Laura, will you be there?
Um.... no I wasn't
I had wanted to, but events took over the entire weekend.
