The Drupal Camp Indy event this weekend was a great success! We had slots for around 90 people but maxed that out and actually had around 100 Drupalers in attendance!

There were 2 issues that we had, but other than that the day went smoothly and I've heard a number of good responses and a number of Thank You's from people who are grateful that we put on the event.

The main issue that we had with the camp was the internet connection. We found out early that there were going to be some issues, and had to end up plugging presenters directly in with ethernet cables. So in the end it worked out, but I imagine there may have been a number participants who may have been frustrated about not being able to connect. So we will have give some more attention to this at our next camp.

The second issue that we had was the lunch was late. It wasn't exactly a big deal, except for the fact that we had 100 people hovering around the lunch area wondering what was going on. Once it arrived, I think everyone enjoyed the spread from Tijuana Flats. And there was definitely enough for everyone - we actually had leftovers! So the only issue there is maybe next time we schedule the food delivery a little earlier to be safe.

We also had some gatherings outside the event. On Friday night we had a nice group gathering on the patio at Scotty's as Drupalers came to town. This jump-started some introductions and Drupal topics before the camp was underway. The majority of attendees came for the event and left afterwards, but we had a decent group meeting up for dinner at Bourbon Street. We enjoyed a relaxing post-camp social on the patio with a nice cool breeze. There were also those who wanted to hang out even later afterwards, so a small group of us enjoyed some Blues at the Slippery Noodle and then followed that up with more live music at the piano bar, Howl At The Moon. I think all that were there had a wonderful time. I thought it was a great end to the day.

We really appreciate everyone who sponsored, attended, volunteered, and presented! Thank you all for helping to make a great camp!

Great day

This was my first DrupalCamp - though I've attended tons of tech conferences over the years...

Great job!!

yea - lunch was late - but it didn't affect the day - and even though I was one of the last ones to eat - it was still hot and good!
The wireless was a hassle - I was trying to follow along with a couple of Doug Vann's presentations... but honestly - he shifted his presentation because there was no connectivity - and demonstrated some of his work on his localhost - so it didn't cut into the learning that much.

Well done! - worth the almost 2 hour drive for sure!
