Drupal 7 web.config patch waiting for review

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

The issue at http://drupal.org/node/567072 aims to add a web.config to D7. While we already have one in D7 beta 2, there's an updated patch with changes from the MS web team (rusland, mbrown) waiting for review.

If you care, please test and comment.

IIS7 on Production

Hi,

I am new to depressing but widespread world of IIS and windows server, I didn't want to hijack the issue so asking here. Is web PI preferred way to install IIS7 on production (windows 2008 R2)?

Yes it is the preferred way for new users of IIS.

However, I would also recommend reading and or following this guide for a complete step-by-step guide that includes much deeper information on configuration and optimization. If you are planning on putting a site into production on IIS I would strongly encourage reading this as well. http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/24/running-php-applications-on-iis/
