Hi,
My Name is Kevin Moll, I am a regular attender of the NYC meet-ups on the first wendsday of the month. I live in Norwalk CT, and work in Stamford CT. I would like to get a regular meet up going in the area here. My company has a conference room (albeit a small conference room), but we have a large monitor and wifi. I know the last meet up was canceled due to lack of attendance, but I would like to see what kind of interest there is in doing meet ups regularly in Stamford. We can schedule it for the third wendsday of the month, or if wendsday doesn't work well for alot of people I am open to doing it another day. Its short notice, but I am available for a meet up this week. I didn't want to post an official event until I found out if there is any interest. If anybody has interest in this, please respond to this discussion with your thoughts.
thanks,
Kevin

Interest
Hi Kevin,
We are a publishing company in Norwalk and I am interested in meetups. This week will be tough for me but I was wondering if this is something you do after work or during lunch? I don't stay down in Norwalk until 5pm and so it would be best for me to meet at lunch. I have a colleague who would be interested as well.
Stephanie
Hi Stephanie, Lunch is tough,
Hi Stephanie,
Lunch is tough, because I work in Stamford, so I don't think I could make it up there at lunch. But I can usually due after work, depending on the day. Ideally we can get some more interest and pick a certain day of the month to have regular meet ups, which will make it easier to plan on, knowing it will be the same day every month. If we could build interest I think it could be very beneficial. I have been able to learn an amazing amount about Drupal through the NYC meetups and would like to get that going closer to home.

I would like to join
I am the colleague that Stephanie mentioned in her post. I would be very interested in doing a meetup.

Fairfield Area
Hi Kevin,
I also work in Stamford and have an interest in using Drupal. I'm a newbie and therefore limited in what I can contribute, but if you get a group going in Norwalk, I'll do my best to attend.

Great
The meets ups would be in Stamford. We'll they can be anywhere, but my company is willing to host them, and we have our office in Stamford. I believe the meet ups are as much about learning Drupal as contributing. I started going to the NYC meetups as a complete newbie and have learned so much since then, that I have been able to build some pretty complex sites using drupal, so definitely don't shy away because of being new. Everybody started off as a newbie. Let me know if you guys are able to meet this month. I know things are crazy because of the holidays, but if there is interest i will post a meet up for december, either next week or the week after. Let em know.
Thanks,
Kevin

I'd definitely be interested in Stamford....
I'm interested
Thanks for taking a lead on this.
week of the 15th
Hey guys, We had a great meet up last night in NYC and I am all fired up again!!! So lets get this thing rolling here in Southern Fairfield County. If there is interest We can do a meet up here at my office in Stamford either Tuesday December 14th, or Wednesday December 15th. I am open to either one, so what ever works for the majority of interested people would be great. Normally at the NYC Meet ups we have some presentations by very experienced Drupal Developers/Themers. It works very well with a big crowd, but since we are likely to have a smaller crowd, I think it might be best to set up a round table discussion. We can a few different topics about Drupal that people are interested in and discuss the pros, cons, alternatives and how to get started with it. Let me know what you think and if there is interest I will post a meet up.
Thanks,
Kevin

We could do 6:00 pm. to 8:00pm, or 6:30 to 8:30. Whatever time most people can make it hear by, and I figure about two hours would be sufficient to have some good discussions.
Either of those times work
Either of those times work for me, so whatever is good for everyone else.

I can meet on Wed nights at 6 PM, or even earlier, like 5 PM.
