First - I apologize because this may have been covered somewhere.
Second - I want to change or remove the banners that are associated with the default installation of Openpublish. My install is here: http://beta.michigandistrict.org
I don't mind having the ad placements, but I really want to replace them with new ads and links. Most likely I would just use the ad space for advertising our own events.
As of now, I have no idea where I would create new ads for the space(s). Can someone clue me in?

Look in the blocks section
The OP banner ads are just blocks with code, so you can go to these blocks and alter the code to pull up whatever you want.
Just remember that the block display is controlled by Context, so you need to work in both areas to get the behavior you want.
