I have a few questions as I await the release of 2.3 (with instructions).
1) Articles -- Is there a way I can allow authors to assign themselves as authors, write teasers and Decks? I don't see it it any where in permissions or the ability to assign these abilities within the content. As an admin, I have these capabilities, but I'd like my authors to be able to do so.
2) Search and Reference -- Clicking this doesn't seem to do anything. In fact, if I have unsaved work on an article, click search and reference or create and reference seems to kill the page and then I lose my work.
3) Article Pictures -- I use article as the basis for all my news/sports/obits/classifieds. A big picture works great for my news and sports. But most obits are 1 inch wide at 72 dpi. Even if they were high res, having giant obit photos doesn't feel right. How can I program my obit article to use a small picture instead of a big picture.

Check for obit taxonomy term in article template
If you want to stick to using the article content-type for you obits I recommend adding some code to your article template file to check for an obit taxonomy term and if matched setup a imagecache preset to process an image. Sorry I'm on my phone and do not have much time. Will add more shortly.
