Thanks to everyone for coming and making DrupalDownunder 2011 such a fantastic event!

We're looking forward to DrupalDownunder 2012: Melbourne!

Don't forget, if you're in Melbourne or Sydney over the next couple of days to sign-up or pop in to the meet-ups planned with Dries! A fantastic opportunity to talk Drupal and hang out with friends!

Looking forward to seeing you all again next year!

Oh you're Sean Bannister! I kept meaning to have a proper talk to you and now I'm annoyed I didn't get to :/

Yeah was hard to catch up

SeanBannister's picture

Yeah was hard to catch up with everyone from IRC and GDO, make sure we chat next year hey ;)

I decided I better upload a pic to G.D.O. now that everyone knows who I am. I was talking to someone for half an hour Saturday night before they finally mentioned their nickname and I realised who they were, lol.

Thanks Jeff and Sheree and

Thanks Jeff and Sheree and all the crew who helped stage this event - it was a great success - but now you have a reputation to uphold!!!
Well done everyone.

Thanks to everyone who helped pull together such an awesome event. I learned so much and now feel part of the Drupal community I had heard so much about.

Bring on DDU2012!

Great Event

rcross's picture

thanks to everyone involved, including all the great people who attended. Great job, Jeff and Sheree!

Good time

davidseth's picture

Thanks to Jeff and Sheree and all the volunteers. It was a great event, just wish it was one day longer to fit in more awesomeness. But then it was probably a good thing or my head might have exploded!

Presentations Recorded?

rcross's picture

I know at least all the presentations in the main room were recorded. Is there any idea when they will be posted online? Also, when the slides of the presenters will be online?

Thanks again!

Videos and Slides

univate's picture

Videos:
The videos from the main room have turned out reasonably well, although one issues with the audio needs to be fixed before they are worth uploading. I don't really want to make any promises, but I am working with LCA A/V team and if everything goes to plans may have them up within the week or if not done by then should have an idea how long it will take.

Slides
Some presenters have already updated their session on drupaldownunder.org with links to slides, Thanks.

If you presented and do have slides, please upload them to the site (it is now possible to attach them, sorry that wasn't available). Or if you have already uploaded them somewhere else (like slideshare), if you could post a link.

Chris

im dumb?

spyjournal's picture

ok im logged into ddu site - user spyjournal
i have no idea where i can upload slides or add a link for the flickr photo gallery - any help please chris?
Cheers

I was specifically meaning

univate's picture

I was specifically meaning that presenters could upload the slides to their specific sessions they originally
created on the site.

As for uploading other things like images - I think we probably can pull them directly in from the flickr group?

can we get a page for links then?

spyjournal's picture

be nice to have one big resource page - separated into photos, slide decks, videos, pdfs etc and linking all the external sites and attached files
flickr can be pulled into site using flickr module
cheers

1MB file size limit

jzornig's picture

There is a 1MB file size limit for attached files. You should increase this a bit so people can upload slides.

Thanks++

After a bit of a business rough patch (well, okay, it's all been rough, but it'll get better any day now!) #ddu2011 was just the tonic I needed. Thanks so much to Jeff, Sheree, the presenters, and all the attendees. Hope I wasn't too much of a wet blanket for anybody unfortunate enough to talk to me. Thanks to all your efforts I'll be more positive next year, I promise!

Great exposure for larger community ddu2012

amaree's picture

Great conference and hats off to all involved. Look forward to seeing business and corporates at ddu2012 if we can expand it to cover more then just developers as we grow that would be great.

Once again hats off to the community this conference was started by people in the community having a dream of seeing a larger conference. Thanks to the drupal Brisbane team for your efforts.

Melbourne team if you would like to discuss any corporate involvement please let me know. Now that you have more time to plan the conference means more time allowed presenting to corporates :)

Great exposure for larger community ddu2012

As everyone else has said: thanks to the Brisbane team, the speakers, the sponsors and the attendees for a pretty awesome weekend.

Just thought I'd go through

shanmoorthy's picture

Just thought I'd go through the pain of losing my GDO virginity by posting a thank you message to the organisers and the attendees of DDU2011. Had a great time, made some great friends, and learnt a lot! Thanks all.

Top weekend

murrayw's picture

Me too. Amazing that so many came from so far and wide. Great to put some faces to names. Thanks to the key note speakers for making it all this way, organisers, the volunteers, speakers and lightning talk givers as well. I learnt a bunch of cool things and was inspired by the direction Drupal is going in. Looking forward to doing it all again next year.
