We are currently seeking students interested in learning about our AWS testing implementations. The primary objective is to create a curriculum that will help educate others understand the methods utilized by the Drupal infrastructure to support it's automated testing in the Amazon cloud. This is a prime opportunity for you to become involved in Drupal and help create positive learning materials to help others understand the benefits of Amazon cloud services as they apply to Drupal.

We are looking for students that are interested in understanding how Drupal and AWS work together to support the Drupal testing infrastructure. This could transition into a leadership role in the community that is responsible for helping to keep our testing infrastructure a responsive and intelligent system.

Please contact Amazon, rfay or myself if you have interest!

I would like to build my ability to contribute more

Kevin,
If you and Randy are teaching, then I am willing to learn. It would be great to get some mentoring on the new GIT system as well, if this ties into the training related to this need.

I'd definitely be interested. Although, I'm pretty strapped until the end of March. If it would start before April when would it begin and how much time do you estimate would be involved?

Thanks,
Mickey (the one who downhill Mountain biked with you at DrupalCamp Colorado.)

Thanks for the responses.

Thanks for the responses. I'm going to copy some of an email thread that Randy has been using in responses to help clarify a bit regarding what we are looking for.

We've been approached to develop a public curriculum that is student-centric ... We think that means anybody involved in formal education. Your participation is welcome, but it sounds like you're not a student.

And we'd love to have some help keeping the testbots running. That could possibly be a completely separate venture.

Maybe you can say more about what you're already good at. Have you written Simpletest tests? Have you administered Linux systems? Do you use qa.drupal.org? What's your background in the testing world? How much time do you have available? For how long?

I (rfay) seem to be the person who keeps testbots running (and they're quite fragile - that's something that really needs some work). There's very little energy going into making them better right now, and we have to get something happening there.
