after the meetup
This was a great meetup.
This was a great meetup. We had a good turnout and talked about many things, deconstructing a site of a member (thank you) a full blown drush session and a ton of q and a as well as lightning talks.
Next month I'm going to try and have an after "party" at my house down the street with bonfire, etc.
I was especially happy to have Mike from Digitaria there who presented some solid questions and gave me a book afterward on cloud hosting!
Several members really impressed me on how much they've learned in such a short amount of time...
I was asked multiple times about showing basic deployment strategies so next month will be sure to show that step by step.
I WILL post the drush items on our new soon to be transparatech.com site WITHIN THE WEEK.

I copied your reply for LA Drupal and rewrote it, I was watching your whole LA Drupal structuring thread and was going to post how I've never been able to keep up with you, how the people in LA need to realize how much you do and how I back it 100%, how I have no idea how you do the #1 company in LA yet lead that monstrosity with sanity!

livestream problems
So I went up to Livestream and saw that (as far as I can tell from this point in time) we seem to have lost alot of the sound as well as most of the meetup video, I will get with our video master and encode the footage on transparatech.com when launched.
From what I saw tonight I implore all members to keep coming you have no idea how incredible the drupal experience can be from coming to these things the networking potential for you is huge, I am living proof. Keep coming, taking and giving! You guys are great, keep it up!

Solved my problem
I was the one who asked about incorporating menu item placeholders into the titles in hook_menu - I googled and found a solution here: http://drupal.org/node/318254. You can use "title callback" and "title arguments" instead of just "title", and reference the placeholders using array(n1, n2,...) where each "n" represents one of the placeholders.
