INNODB: will it help with a better OP production site

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I've got several advocacy type sites waiting to be built using CIVICRM. The CIVICRM application requires INNODB, which I will setup as soon as my webhost completes move to new servers.

Currently, I have no INNODB sites.

I was thinking INNODB might be a better data solution for OP on shared servers.

I'd appreciate reading any comments on this.

Partial installation of INNODB

I do not know whether it helps but what I have done is to enable INNODB on a couple of cache, cache_form, cache_menu and cache_update.
I did this on the advice posted elsewhere on drupal (sorry lost reference). I did some experiments and found if I enabled the whole site everything slowed down but just these are OK.
The original reason for action was that my hoster config. stops me running Drupal Update due to lost MySQL connection
