It's official! The very first drupal kitchen evening is booked and ready to go!

When: Monday May 9th, 2011 @ 6:15pm
Where: 215 Spadina ave. 4th floor in the Alterna Meeting Room

So, put on your aprons and get ready to get your hands dirty!

If you're planning on submitting an order, feel free to get in touch with us for any guidance on your project proposal. Also, keep in mind, if you come out and your project doesn't get picked you could/should still stick around and participate. You could still learn a thing or two and have fun while doing it.

And, if you're planning on submitting OR participating, please note that you don't need to bring a laptop or anything in particular... although, if you'd like to bring some beer or pizza, no one will mind ;)

I've talked to several people who want to submit their projects. Most of them won't be ready for tomorrow, but I know of at least a couple of project that should be coming out. And, in case no one is ready to submit a project, I've got a project in the wings that we can work on.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to say a couple things:

1. Thanks again:
- To Myplanet Digital for providing the pizza and beer :) yum
- To it-patrol for providing the hosting space.
- To everyone who was a part of the night. I think it went really well :)

2. We'll be meeting again to finish off the Wind Dancer project next Monday, May 16, 6:30pm @ CSI 215 Spadina - 4th floor - Sunshine room.
- Also, Gemma wanted me to pass on an email... so I've attached it below :)

3. I still haven't updated the drupal-kitchen.com site with our first project... I think I'm going to wait until the project is complete (next monday) to add our "recipe".
- Also, I will be adding some new "functionality" to the site (things around "profiles and networking", "outlining, scoping, and submitting projects", other things...) So, if you haven't already created an account, what are you waiting for!?

4. As I mentioned before, this was the first run at a kitchen event... already we've changed some of the "process" of how the night can/should function. We decided to pick the project beforehand, and even have a "requirements session" with them beforehand. Great! :) But, there are/will be other changes to the process... if you have any ideas/thoughts around how the night could run smoother, please let me know. Perhaps a few of us can have an online discussion around this.

Finishing up Wind Dancer project & Discuss "Kitchen process"

Hi All,

Some of us got together last night to do more work on the Wind Dancer project. We didn't finish, but we did make some progress.

I'll be at CSI 215 Spadina, 4th floor tonight (6pm and on) to finish up what's left on the Wind Dancer project.
A little more work on the theme, and a bit of content needs to be added... but we're almost there!
