The project I am working on is called Into Outside http://www.IntoOutside.org, where I am building a platform to connect kids to the outdoors. The seed project is with UC Berkeley, Yosemite Youth Leadership and the other community stakeholders. The program involves education in wilderness, leadership and job training etc where graduate students take underserved youth from the Central Valley (6.5 million population) into Yosemite. It is GREAT!
The role I am filling is developing the online, social media - and eventually mobile - component for these youth to share their stories. It's a project of http://www.incredibleplaces.org and http://www.creativeentity.org - a non-profit I started for community work. I am a multimedia artist versed in Look and Feel development with a professional background in art direction and wearing a producer/director/front end/media hat http://www.creative-entity.com.
I really need help with the programming side, as Drupal is much more complex and foreign than HTML or Wordpress (I do not code - I am a front end designer).
I would be thrilled if you wanted to adopt us to help customize the site. I am exploring a few themes, a few dozen modules and configuring as much as I can.
