During the sprint window whoever happens to have a few free moments can stop by #drupal-docs IRC channel (on the Freenode network) and help out with preparing the Getting Involved handbook for launch. There will be someone around during the entire time to answer questions, give direction and help newbies out on work to be done, so if you have a spare 15 minutes, roll on by and be part of the process. Newbies are encouraged!
(Note, there are two sprints planned, one on Tues. Sept. 23 and another on Thurs. Sept 25.)
What'll we be doing?
- Working on completing the "section issues" to find all of the existing pages that need to be moved into the new book. This mostly involves checking out the handbook looking for certain kinds of pages and then reporting back where (or if) you found them.
- If we find multiple pages on the same topic, work on merging them into one page.
- Identifying what is missing and creating new pages, even if they are only stub pages for the time being.
- Write up a draft and help edit the front page announcement about the book.
