During the sprint window whoever happens to have a few free moments can stop by #drupal-docs IRC channel (on the Freenode network) and help out with preparing the Getting Involved handbook for launch. There will be someone around during the entire time to answer questions, give direction and help newbies out on work to be done, so if you have a spare 15 minutes, roll on by and be part of the process. Newbies are encouraged!
(Note, there are two sprints planned, one on Tues. Sept. 23 and another on Thurs. Sept 25.)
Specific tasks we need to do during this sprint:
- Review the getting an account page: http://drupal.org/node/240235 and see if it has everything we need, then report back either "looks good" or "we could improve..." to the issue.
- Look over issues at http://drupal.org/project/issues?projects=18753&text=Contrib%20Redesign: that are marked "patch (code needs review)" and see if there is more to add. Leave comments on the issue if you have other pages to add, thoughts on what should be there or if you think it is OK.
- Should we include this section at all? http://drupal.org/node/240264, please post thoughts/ideas to the issue.
- Anyone interested in working on the CVS sections please ping add1sun in IRC - they are kind of gnarly and need work.
- Start the d.o front page post to tell everyone about the new book and warn them that the handbook will be shifting around this weekend.
