Time for our August DUG Meetup. This will be the Salt Lake group but everyone is welcome to come.
It will be held on the 11th floor of the Walker center in the conference room. I'm told that you can enter from the retail space. We can also gather at an entrance and have someone there to let us in. I'm working with j_ten_man on the details for that. We will have food available but a decision on what has not yet been made.
dharmatech will be presenting on CiviCRM. We were sad to miss them at DrupalCamp Utah but they said they would still like to share their presentation with us at the meetup. After their presentation we will take a moment to discuss the best organization for continued, consistent meetups. We have helpful information from danrasband as well as expressed willingness to host on an on going basis from jeremryr, d_ten_man, and digitaria (jtsnow among others).

Location
Sorry for the lack of instructions here about getting into the building for tomorrow. It's the time for vacation for everyone I guess. I'm working with the people in the Walker Center still to figure out how they want to allow entrance into the building (all of the people I'd worked with previously either no longer work there, or else are on vacation). Don't worry, you'll definitely be able to get in even if we have to have someone man the door downstairs and let people in. Instructions will definitely be posted on the front doors and if I get them early enough tomorrow, on here as well.
Location:
Walker Center
200 S. Main St.
Salt Lake City
Enter from the West side (off of Main St.).
Parking: There are pay lots just off of 200 S just to the East of the building. You can also park in Carl's Jr. lot but you need to buy something from them if you do.
Gallivan station is the closest Trax station and will get you within a block of the building.
If you have any other questions, let me know.
Instructions
I have verified the instructions. Watch for the signs on the doors as well.
Enter in the retail space doors (they are 20 feet to the North of the main entrance to the Walker Center). There will be a sign on the door.
Walk to the elevator. It might look kind of messy in the area, but don't worry. You've come to the right place.
In the elevator:
- Press floor 11 (Restricted Floor light will come on).
- Press X – X – X. (code will be provided in the elevator)
- The 11th floor button should light up and you should go.
Exit the elevator and walk to the left.
My phone number will be posted on the signs as well if you have questions.
post meetup
Here's the slidedeck from last night. Probably not very useful unless you attended the talk since we decided to keep the slides bare and fill in the details as we went.

Thanks j_ten_man for organizing and providing the space for the meetup and tjsmith for the grub.
If anyone is interested in doing more with CiviCRM, we're happy to help answer any questions be it: configuring, troubleshooting, developing/extending, theming.

Need for additional roles. Looking at other camps the standard roles are:
Any one willing to fill any of these roles please share your desire with Jeremy (jeremyr). We look forward to start some of the preliminary planning for next year's camp and at least twice as many people. The plan is to have a small registration fee and provide goodies like shirts. It was also discussed that we might have shirts for volunteers.
Fundraising for Camp and Meetups - Tee Shirts (jeremyr looked into it)
