SD DUG website

So lets get this thing together.

Figure it should have all the relevant details about the meeting.
Of course a social layer for networking amongst the members.
Would be nice to pull info from here into the site easily. Not sure that is doable I have never really worked with gdo.
Place to link to code repos and slides from topics and lightening talks.

I'd be willing to help live stream and record the meetings since I have a bit of experience producing live events now.
So we could even offer an archive of the meetings and events to be watched on the site.

Any other thoughts?

I think those all sound like great ideas. We should definitely make the cross over between the DUG site and GDO as seemless as possible and interlink as much as possible. I don't want to leave everything on GDO but there are definite limitations to the site and creating our own site can help facilitate meetings & discussions.

I guess we should start putting together a feature list for the site and see which ones should live on the site and prioritize them. Some of the the functionality can be handled better offsite by 3rd parties (Pastebin / Slideshare) so we'd need to investigate those and see if there are any API integrations we could use to more tightly integrate them.

So far we've got:
Live Streaming
Video archive
Updated User profiles
Social integrations to facilitate networking (e.g. industry verticals and technical disciplines?)

Keeping Camp Going

Hello, I have no particular opinion at this time on splitting out to a separate site but our immediate need is a SANDcamp site which needs to be up rather rapidly. May we table this discussion and thought until the camp site is up and running? Both are big, time-intensive ideas that take up volunteer hours and since we have a looming deadline for camp it would seem prudent to stay focused on just launching one site right now. We need a camp site by first week in November which is 2 weeks away. Just a thought...
