We're in the Purple Room at Platt College again for April. At last month's meetup, we saw a couple of Drupal site showcases from Matt Young (showing off the http://dev.homedataguard.com site) and Andrew Root (showcasing his recent project http://thezoi.com).
At the upcoming April meeting, Karl Scheirer has offered to demo the newly revamped http://sitv.com site on behalf of Achieve Internet, and Torg would love to show us what's under the hood of his http://rifftrax.com site when it comes to Ubercart and online sales. Each of these guys will peel back the layers to reveal how the sites were built, and what the thought process was while constructing them. Plan to be here if you'd like to get a firsthand account of the crazy stories and legends that went into building out these two superb web sites!

Next month on May 13th, we're looking for a new venue that's more centrally located to the North and the South, has audio visual equipment available, parking, and that can become our new home! If you know of somewhere we should check out, please let us know in the comments.

sorry
I won't be able to make this meetup either, but at least I have the good excuse of being on vacation! :)
I see you guys in May, would be happy to talk about sites, or (hopefully) a short report on drupalcamp centroamerica.
if we want me to do another one I will do pencils.com
Believe me the stories behind this one and all the stuff it does is pretty wild and wide in features, community, themeing and ubercart.
aaaah man
just realized I may be laving for Missouri on this very day....
Have to look at the ticket times. BUMMER.
We've only got the Teacher's Lounge for this meetup
Sorry gang, but we can only get the Teacher's Lounge for this coming meetup. Perhaps we can put off doing the Site Reviews until next month, since both Matt and Karl are out of town anyway. That, and we'll have no projection screen to use.
I propose that we do a "What do you need help with?" meeting. There are several of us who can assist in this regard, having created a few Drupal sites already, and I'll bet there's some people out there right now who are struggling with something on a project of their own and might like another pair of eyes?
I could also do that rundown of Drush if anybody's interested, that is. The Drush shell scripting system just got a pretty major overhaul, and it's now even more flexible and powerful that ever! It interacts with the database, drupal.org, svn, and so on.

Unfortunately not gonna make it. Have fun! Maybe save Drush for another time...? ;)
Drush is cool
Great idea about Drush. I've wanted to learn about it for an eternity.
See you all tomorrow.

Sorry I'm coming back to
Sorry I'm coming back to this thread late. I'll still be there but I don't mind putting off the site review until later. We're in the middle of some D6 conversion so maybe by then we'll be all finished and I'll have something more interesting to talk about :)
Quick question, for those of
Quick question, for those of us new to this location, where is the room located? I checked out the Platt website and there is no campus map that I could see. Any help is appreciated.
Teachers Lounge
The teachers lounge is upstairs and is the first door you'll see after going up the outside staircase that you can see from the courtyard.

Tremendous meetup last night.
Enjoyed the lively discussion regarding Theming as well as the idea of a reverse-bounty service. Would love to hear any follow-ups at the next meeting.
